Description
This very entertaining action-thriller from director Jonathan Mostow (U-571) owes more than just a little to Steven Spielberg's 'Duel' and George Sluizer's 'Spoorloos (The Vanishing)'. A married couple is driving across the country to San Diego but their car breaks down. A nice trcuk driver offers to help, and the wife (Kathleen Quinlan) takes a ride with him while the husband (Kurt Russell) waits by the car. After a while, there's no sign of the wife returning and the guy has to track her down. The late J.T. Walsh is brilliant as the seemingly friendly trcuk driver who turns out to be something else.
