Bowling for Columbine
Documentary
Description
Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine" is a provocative documentary on American gun culture and the media that surrounds it. The film is funny and chilling at the same time. Having confronted corporate expediencies in "Roger & Me" and "The Big One," Moore has turned his focus on the most debated issue of gun violence in America, with the horrifying massacre at Columbine High school in 1999 as his starting point. While Charlton Heston's answers to Moore's questions are borderline pitiful and marginal, comedian/actor Chris Rock sheds some witty insight into the matter. Other celebs who appear include Marilyn Manson and Columbine alumnus Matt Stone (one of the South Park creators).
