Description
Narrated by Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, the documentary examines the rise and fall of Hammer Studios, Britain's film production company that produced such classics as "The Horror of Dracula" and "The Curse of Frankenstein." Includes rare interviews with the stars who made Hammer films, including Raquel Welch, Caroline Munro, and Christopher Lee himself. Unfortunately, the off-camera narration was the last work Peter Cushing did before his untimely death in 1994. Filmmaker interviewees include the master cinematographer/director Freddie Francis (The Evil of Frankenstein, 1972's Tales From the Crypt), writer/director Val Guest (Quatermass films), et al.
