Description
[Machine Translation] One of Jacques Offenbach's masterpieces and one of the greatest works of comedy, "Heaven and Hell" is released on DVD! The DVD contains a live performance at the Opera National de Lyon in 1997 with almost the same cast as the CD that was specially selected in the May 1999 issue of "Record Geijutsu" (Recorded Arts). This performance is based on the premiere version at the Theatre de la Guete in Buch-Parisien in 1858, with the addition of several ballets and the famous "Couplet de Regrette" by Ulidis, rather than the 1874 version, which begins with the famous overture.
