Description
One of Nippon TV's four animated movies aired as TV specials during the network's annual "24 jikan Televi, Ai wa Chikyu Sukkuu" telethons, available on DVD for the first time. Based on Osamu Tezuka's original idea, Tezuka served as the movie's director, character designer, director of animation, cell painter and animator. The sci-fi drama warns us of the danger of genetic manipulation, and man's predilection for playing god. The animated film is presented in real time, i.e. the movie's action mirrors the actual time span. Remastered from a new digital telecine print.
