Description
The hard-edged anime feature was produced in the early '80s and was based on the best-selling manga by Takawo Saito which got its start in '69 on a comic book mag. from Shogakkan. The film uses the CGI technique that just came into existence shortly before the production. Many animated films today use CGI but it was rare yet in those days. Its original monoral sound was remastered into dynamic 5.1 ch soundtrack, and the DVD image is anamorphic widescreen. Special features: audio commentary from (and/or conversation between) producer Mata Yamamoto and director Osamu Dezaki, 8-page all-color booklet, sleeve art illustrated by Akio Sugino.
