This brilliant piano instrumental album contains 13 tracks, four of which are original songs penned by the artist himself: album's title track "Love Vacation," "Kira kira umi no etude" inspired by the shining turquoise sea of Okinawa, and the tracks featuring exquisite melodies, "Kimi iro dori" and "Days." In addition it includes some classical pieces such as Maurice Ravel's "Sonatine" and Chopin's "Prelude Op. 28/15." Included also are two popular screen themes: "A Summer Place (Max Steiner-scored theme)" and "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head (the Burt Bacharach song from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid)," plus a cover of the hit tune "Namida sou sou." All in all, the album has an appeal to a wider audience than any of his previous outings.
