Description
Blu-ray release of the film "Hisshiken Torisashi," new film adaptation from Shuhei Fujiwasa's novel "The Hidden Blade" series. Stars Etsuhi Toyokawa. Set in the Edo era, at Unasaka-han in north western Japan, Kanemi Sanzaemon kills a kept mistress of his load Ukyodayu. He did it because she had a great influence on Ukyo for decision making. Three years later, after he loses his wife to illness, Sanzaemon tries to pay for what he did and searches for a place to die. However, unexpectedly Ukyo let him off easy. He does not quite get it, but one day his superior tells Sanzaemon that someone is planning an assassination of Ukyo and requires him to save their lord.
