Description
"Fishmans", which was released at theaters nationwide on July 9, 2021 and became a long-running blockbuster, is now available on Blu-ray. Plot: In Tokyo at the end of the 20th century, Fishmans is a lone band that pursued pure music. They are highly acclaimed in Japan and abroad, but their journey was not smooth. Sluggish sales, a move to a new record label, a string of member departures, and the sudden death of vocalist Shinji Sato... The band's leader, Kinichi Motegi, who was left on his own, called on his friends who had left to restart the band. In the spring of 2019, the 20th anniversary of Shinji Sato's death, Fishmans headed out on stage with a special determination. The members of Fishmans and gorgeous artists such as Ikuko Harada (Clammbon), Hanaregumi, UA, YO-KING (Magokoro Brothers), and Kazufumi Kodama talk about the band's journey from its formation to the present, and their passion for music. It also includes a lot of treasured footage kept by the people involved. This is a full-length work that lasts 172 minutes, which is unprecedented for a music documentary.
