With Akira Kuramoto as the main writer, the drama depicts the sadness of an individual detective and yakuza gangster living within the police force and organized crime syndicate, and the brotherly love between the main character played by Wataru and his sister played by Nishina. Although it is a drama featuring a detective, it is more of a "human drama" that delves deeply into the emotions of the individual and also points out the contradictions of modern society that are hidden behind the crimes. The film centers on Kuroiwa (Tetsuya Watari), a detective in the Metropolitan Police Department's Investigation Section 4, and Takigawa (Yujiro Ishihara), the cap man of the Toyo Shimbun's Josai Police Station Press Club, and depicts through their personalities the drama filled with inhumanity that lurks behind gang crimes.
