Description
The film was directed by William Peter Blatty, the man who wrote the screenplay and also the novel on which 1973's brilliant William Friedkin movie was based. The late great George C. Scott took over the role of Lt. Kinderman which was played by the late great Lee J. Cobb in the 1973 original. Recently I've noticed another interesting fact about the two actors. In Sidney Lumet's "12 Angry Men," Lee J. Cobb played the role of juror #3, who was the antagonist of the hero (juror #8) played by Henry Fonda. George C. Scott played the same character, juror #3 in the excellent 1997 remake (with Jack Lemmon playing the Fonda role) which was directed by none other than William Friedkin!
