Description

The heroine is the hot Saki Aibu, and the story is a coming-of-age love story of a passionate athlete aiming for the Olympics in a boat race! Based on the comic of the same title by popular manga artist Hidenori Hara, which was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Young Sunday from the summer of 2001 to the fall of 2004. The story follows Osawa Makoto, a member of a university rowing team who loses his dream upon the death of his best friend and withdraws from the sport, overcoming many hardships and setbacks on his way to becoming an Olympian. In addition to Mokomichi Hayami and Saki Aibu, the cast includes Shota Matsuda, the second son of the late Yusaku Matsuda, and popular gravure idol Chinatsu Wakatsuki. The 6-disc set includes 5 full-length discs and 1 bonus disc containing all 9 episodes. The bonus disc will include a making-of document featuring scenes from the recording, interviews with the cast, PR spots, trailers, a press conference to announce the production, a boom-up mini-program, and scenes from the recording of "Doraemon" featuring Mokomichi Hayami and Saki Aibu (tentative).
