Description
Takeshi Kitano's Zatoichi remake is scheduled to hit Japanese screens in the summer of 2003. The character of Zatoichi was first made famous by the late Shintaro Katsu, who reprised the popular role no less than 25 times in the series.This Zatoichi boxed set contains 6 of the popular Zatoichi movies, all anamorphically remastered with a new telecine from the original negative, with a bonus disc containing a Zatoichi documentary: "Zatoichi Monogatari" (1962), "Zoku Zatoichi Monogatari" (1962), "Shin Zatoichi Monogatari" (1963), "Zatoichi Kyojo Tabi" (1963), "Zatoichi Kenka Tabi" (1963), "Zatoichi Senryo Kubi" (1964), and bonus disc "Kikigaki Zatoichi - Zatoichi wo Ikita Shintaro Katsu (working title)."
