The Mystery of Picasso[HD Remastered Edition]
Movie

 Description
[Machine Translation] A historical documentary that records the moment of creation by the genius artist Pablo Picasso is now available in HD remastered format! The Special Jury Prize winner at the 1956 Cannes International Film Festival, Picasso's paintings are only seen in this film, made possible with the full cooperation of Picasso himself. The film thrillingly unfolds with the movement of Picasso's paintbrush, capturing the process of creating a new work of art with a sense of urgency. Directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot, a master of suspense films such as "The Devil's Advocate" and "The Devil's Woman," and photographed by Claude Renoir, known for his work on many of his uncle Jean Renoir's films. The music, full of grandeur and delicate imagination, was composed by Georges Auricq. Picasso himself fully cooperated in this film, and his works, painted one after another on the screen, progress from sketches to watercolors, oils, and eventually to experimental large-scale paintings. The film is a mixture of black-and-white and color, and the size is expanded from standard to CinemaScope. The paintings that are redrawn and erased exist only in this film. After completing his climactic masterpiece, "The Bathing Beach at La Galoupe," Picasso tried a new approach with the same motif. Critic Andre Bazin, in his book "What is Cinema? The Bathing Beach at La Galoupe" (the first film) is currently in the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. Leaflet with commentary enclosed.
