¡THE KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE
¡Movie

 Description
Parody-filled comedy classic from director John Landis. Written by ZAZ (the Zucker brothers Jerry + David and Jim Abrahams) of "Airplane!" and "Naked Gun" fame. This 1977 movie is the one that started it all - the one that paved the way for a series of triumphant, laugh-out-loud comedies from ZAZ that also includes "Top Secret," the "Naked Gun" series, the "Hot Shots!" films, TV's "Police Sqaud" which became the basis for "Naked Gun," and more recently, "Baseketball" and "Rat Race." Following the cult hit of "Kentucky," Landis went on to make such classics as "National Lampoon's Animal House," and "The Blues Brothers." Kentucky in turn, was based on the ZAZ dudes' Kentucky Fried Theater live shows. The film's outrageous and irreverent sketches include "A Fistful of Yen," a Bruce Lee / martial arts take-off, "That's Armageddon!" spoofing disaster films, fake commercials including "Scot Free," a board game that recreates the Kennedy assassinations and allows players to take parts in murder conspiracies, and "Danger Seekers," the one with a Woody Allen lookalike in a politically incorrect exploit.
