Following the success of the previous album "Romantic" (No. 4), here comes the fifth chorale. The performance, which is hard to believe with an orchestra of only 60 or so members, depicts the profundity and grandeur of the spirituality inherent in this piece. The orchestra also takes advantage of its size to express a sense of balance and precision in the ensemble, and even in the grand coda, it maintains a sense of organ-like harmony without becoming muddled, and all the voices come to a grand conclusion just as Bruckner wrote.
