Description
Like Alejandro Jodorowsky's earlier cult films "El Topo," and "The Holy Mountain," this 1989 film is a wild menagerie of outrageous image, which are loaded with references to Freud and Fellini symbolism. The story itself is less abstract than his earlier outings, with considerably more tangible thriller plot outlines, somewhat akin to some of Italian horror auteur Dario Argento's works. It's also interesting to know that the film was produced by Dario's brother Claudio Argento.
