Description
Alejandro Jodorowsky himself stars as the Alchemist in perhaps the most ambitious film he has made so far. Produced by Aleen Klein, the Beatles (and Rolling Stones) manager, the film bombards us with a string of bizarre, surreally phatasmagoric images. It's almost useless to describe the film's story since Jodorowsky didn't intend to tell a coherent one to start out with, and the trip into the uniquely surreal world has to be experienced.
