[Machine Translation] Turntable Films", a Kyoto treasure that has been attracting the attention of dedicated music fans with its indie rock/alterna-folk sound that continues to link with global trends since its debut, has finally completed its long-awaited new album after a five-year absence! The recording session was performed by Shimoryo of the chef cooks me, who is also a label mate and a close friend of Gotch band, mmm, who co-produced and released a new album with Shintaro Sakamoto in July, Ai Ichikawa, a Jazz singer, Junnosuke Fujita (saxophone) of Achico (ROPES) and TRI4TH, and Yusuke Oda (trumpet). The horn section includes Jazz singer Ai Ichikawa, Yusuke Oda (trumpet), Kayoko Yuasa (trombone), who also plays in WUJA BIN BIN, Hidehito Naka (clarinet), Kazuhiro Bessho (ex. YaseiCollective) on piano, Hirosuke Miyashita (PHONO TONES) on pedal steel, and Kosuke Miyashita (bass). Kazuhiko Iwashiro, who is well-known for his live performances with Turntable Films, and other talented members participate in this project. After recording, the album was mixed by L10mixedit, a mix engineer who has worked with Noname and Chance The Rapper, and Kenichi Koga, an engineer who has worked with ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, offical bearded men dism, Chatmonchy, and others. Ian Sefchick, who has mastered records for Alabama Shakes, Sam Smith, Of Monsters and Men, The Avalanches, and others at Capitol Studio, was invited as the mastering engineer. The cover illustration is by Jon Koko, an illustrator who also collaborates with Maison Kitsune and is based in Malmo, Sweden and Kyoto, Japan. The English lyrics were translated by Gotch. This is a record that was made with the utmost care and attention to detail.
