[Machine Translation] This is the 13th volume of the third season of a series featuring selected masterpieces from Kabuki, one of Japan's proudest traditional performing arts. This is a recording of "Shinju Kamiya Jihei Kawajo" performed at the Osaka Shochikuza Theater in 1997. Nakamura Ganjiro (now Sakata Tojuro) gives a rich performance of the sad love between a man and a woman. A commentary (highlights and synopsis in Japanese and English) is enclosed.
