 Description
[Machine Translation] The devil? Messiah? This historical drama depicts the ambition of a man who calls himself a prophet, set in 16th century Europe during the Reformation. The 16th century. Europe is in turmoil, tossed about by the storm of the Reformation. A group known as the "Baptists" is at odds with the Catholic Church because of their radical and extremist beliefs. In Munster, a city in midwestern Germany, a man named Jan Boekelson called himself a prophet and gained the support of the citizens. To consolidate his power, Boekelson invited Matheus, the leader of the Reconciliationists, to take control of the city. Cardinal Baldeck, who was concerned about the situation, dispatched an army and laid siege to Munster. As the siege continues, Matheus loses his life in a plot. Boekelson, who became King of Munster and assumed dictatorial power, imposed a reign of terror and massacred his opponents one after another. Boekelson's ambition of a "millennial kingdom," colored with blood and decadence, seemed to have been fulfilled. But the prolonged siege starved the citizens, and Munster finally fell...
