Description
DVD release of the film "All About Lily Chou-Chou (Lily Chou-Chou no Subete)" directed by Shunji Iwai. It was based on the "interactive internet" novel written through the BBS (electronic bulletin board system) on his website, "Lilyholic". The movie depicts the angst, innocence, and cruelty of a teenage boy, focusing on such modern problems as juvenile crimes and school bullying. The title character "Lily Chou-Chou" is a chanteuse and a cult artist admired by many, including our hero the teen boy, about whom people talk about enthusiastically on the internet. Soundtrack music scored by Takeshi Kobayashi who had previously worked with Iwai on "Swallowtail & Butterfly."
