¡GAZ COOMBES
Description
[Machine Translation] After 17 years as the vocalist of Supergrass, Gaz Coombs has released six Top 20 UK charting albums and now releases his second solo album in three years! Gaz Coombs, who is under the same management as Radiohead and led the Brit Pop scene in the 90's, is now back with his second solo album in three years! In 2013, Supergrass vocalist and guitarist Gaz Coombs began recording at his own studio in Oxford, UK, playing almost all instruments including analog synthesizers, while also working with engineer Ian Davenport (Supergrass). Gaz played most of the instruments himself, including analog synthesizers, and worked with engineer Ian Davenport (Supergrass, 20-20s, Dinosaur Pile-Up, etc.) to produce the album. The album contains dark and druggy tunes from Supergrass, romantic songs written with his wife, and universal songs that you would want to hear along with Beck's masterpiece "Sea Change". Gaz Coombs' last album, "Here Come The Bombs," received an 8 (out of 10) from the NME, and he has been actively performing as a solo artist, including an appearance at Hostess Club Weekender in 2012. Prior to the release of his new album, Gaz covered The Kinks' "This Time Tomorrow" for a campaign for John Lewis, a well-known department store in the UK, to show his presence to the UK media.
