Description
[Machine Translation] Fifty St. Catherine's Drive," a previously unreleased album containing the final recordings of Bee Gees member Robin Gibb, who sadly passed away on May 20, 2012, is finally being released! Robin Gibb was a beloved songwriter, performer, and member of the Bee Gees, who sadly passed away in May 2012. His last solo album "Fifty St. Catherine's Drive" is now available worldwide! Compiled by his wife Duina Gibb and son RJ Gibb, the album includes most of the songs recorded for the album, as well as some of Robin's final compositions and recordings. Highlights include: "Sidney," which is said to be Robin Gibb's last song, a new version of the Bee Gees' 1966 classic "I Am the World," all songs written by Robin Gibb (including co-writes), 3 songs co-written with his son RJ Gibb, and a liner for each song by his wife Dewena Gibb. As the album title "Fifty St. Catherine's Drive" (50 St. Catherine Street), inspired by the address of Robin's birthplace in Douglas, Isle of Man, suggests, the songs are introspective and sometimes reflective of Robin's own life, and were recorded mainly between 2006 and 2008. The album is a collection of previously unreleased material recorded between 2006 and 2008. With the addition of some of Robin Gibb's last recordings, this album is a rare reminder of the rich songwriting talent of an artist whose genius is sorely missed by people around the world. Fifty St. Catherine's Drive also includes three songs co-written with his son, RJ Gibb. The album was produced by Peter John Vettese.
