[Machine Translation] Stacey Kent is a Grammy-nominated, cosmopolitan "jazz songbird". The long-awaited new release from Parlophone France is a record overflowing with love for Brazilian music! Stacey Kent is a cosmopolitan "jazz songbird" who has been nominated for a Grammy Award. With over half a million albums sold worldwide, her new album features new original compositions as well as cover versions of numbers by such Brazilian musical greats as Tom Jobim, Dori Caymmi, Marcos Valle and Roberto Menescal. The album is full of love and respect for Brazilian music. The album is produced by her husband, Jim Tomlison. He also composed the original songs on the album. Also contributing lyrics to the album are Kazuo Ishiguro ("The Changing Lights", "Oh Waiter", "The Summer We Crossed Europe In The Rain"), a Japanese-American writer who has collaborated on previous albums, and Portuguese poet Antonio Ladeira ("The Summer We Crossed Europe In The Rain"). The film is the work of Japanese-American writer Kazuo Ishiguro (The Changing Lights, Oh Waiter, The Summer We Crossed Europe In The Rain), Portuguese poet Antonio Ladeira (Mais Uma Vez, A Tarde) and French lyricist Bernie Beaupere (Chanson Legere). An American fluent in French, Portuguese, Italian, and German, she also transcends musical genres and borders with ease. Her Brazilian flavor may be influenced by the fact that she recently recorded a live album with Marcos Valle in Rio de Janeiro as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of his musical career. With "The Changing Lights," she shows listeners a new form of her own music and style through the prism of Brazilian music.
