This album is released within a short span of 11 months after their last album "Vartari - Distant Pulse", which reached #7 in the U.S. and #8 in the U.K., the highest chart position in the history of Sigur R s' career. Sigur R s has quickly become a worldwide sensation, with four albums reaching No. 1 on the Icelandic charts in their home country since their debut in 1997. Sigur R s' fifth album, "Reverberations," debuted at No. 15 in the U.S. and No. 5 in the U.K. and No. 5 on the Oricon charts in 2008. In 2011, the band released "Inny", a collection of live recordings and videos from just before their hiatus in 2008. In May 2013, the band will embark on a 4-city tour in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe, and Fukuoka. The tour has already sold out the Nippon Budokan, proving its popularity.
