The album features guest appearances by Zooey Deschanel of Sea & Him, Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth, John Parrish of PJ Harvey, Howie Gelb of desert rock giants Giant Sand, and Mike Mogis, a close friend. The result is a masterpiece that offers a wide variety, from pop numbers reminiscent of Sea & Him to warm, melancholy ballads!
