As a member of the Allman Brothers and leader of his eponymous Derek Trucks Band, Derek no longer needs to be described as the nephew of the Allman Brothers' Butch Trucks. Now, at the height of his powers, he and his wife Susan Tedeschi unleash the debut album of their new unit, "Tedeschi Trucks Band"! All songs are original and recorded at Swamp Raga Studio. His wife Susan, a well-known singer and guitarist in the U.S., sings soulful, sometimes sweet and sad lyrics that delve deeply into everyday life. Derek's guitar interplay is superb. The brothers Coffee and Oteil Burbridge also participate on this album, as well as Mike Mathison and other well-known members of the "family," creating an ambitious new sound.
