 Description
[Machine Translation] k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang: Sing it Loud, the first studio album in three years from the "world's greatest female singer," is a return to her roots, in a sense. The album was songwritten and produced with former Guster member Joe Pisapia, and recorded in Joe Pisapia's backyard studio in Nashville with his own band: Siss Boom Bang. Recorded with the help of band members Daniel Clarke and Joshua Grange, the album is both dramatic and laid-back, with a live feel. She sings romantic ballads, country rock songs reminiscent of Neil Young's classic "Harvest," and a graceful cover of Talking Heads' "Heaven," sometimes compellingly, sometimes tenderly and nostalgically. She is, as the great Tony Bennett has said, "the best singer of her generation," and she will lead Siss Boom Bang on a North American tour in April, finally releasing the most confident album of her 25-year career!
