After traveling around the world busking in India, New York, and Tokyo, he returned to his hometown Sydney and started his music career in earnest, debuting with the album "Good Morning" in 2008, and his first single "La La La - Minna no Uta" became a big hit in Japan (No.1 on the monthly Western music OA chart) and performed at Summer Performed at Summer Sonic 07.
