The latest remastering in 2024 brings back to life the music of Bruckner as intended by Celibidache. For this release, Atsuo Fujita, one of Japan's most renowned mastering engineers, undertook the remastering from the original masters. He believed that the pre-2000 digital recordings (16bit/44.1kHz) did not have enough information and therefore could not be demonstrated on today's high-resolution audio sets. Therefore, he restored the overtone (high-resolution) range that was not recorded using a special processor process that uses the latest technology to maximize the wide frequency bandwidth and dynamic range, thereby creating a sense of realism in localization and dynamic range. Not only the SACD layer but also the CD layer has been mastered with the utmost care to bring out the sound from the remastered DSD source and reflect it to the fullest extent. In order to convey as much as possible the atmosphere and tension surrounding the venue in the live recordings, performance noise and coughing in the audience have been recorded as is. In order to maintain this atmosphere, no corrections were made, and some of the noise may sound louder than before.
