The first time all of the previously unreleased and mysterious 1974 recording sessions for "More Blood, More Tracks" have been released, this is the first in a long-running series that has been highly acclaimed for over a quarter of a century since the release of "Bootleg Series Volumes 1-3" in 1991. The latest installment of the "Bootleg Series" features six of Bob Dylan's most important recording sessions in 1974: four days in New York City (September 16, 17, 18, and 19) and two days in Minneapolis (December 27 and 30). The deluxe edition (6 CDs) includes all of the New York sessions, including outtakes and unfinished material, as well as the five surviving tracks from the Minneapolis Sound 80 sessions, in the order in which they were recorded. The producers of the bootleg series searched for the best possible source material, and as a result, original multitrack session tapes were used for many of the tracks. Since this is a limited edition release, no additional copies will be produced after the initial run is sold out. This rare box set also includes liner notes by rock historian Jeff Slate and a hardcover photo book that is an exact facsimile of the 57-page notebook in which Dylan handwrote the lyrics.
