The album was produced by Justin and Aaron, along with their longtime collaborator Brad Cook, and recorded and mixed by Jonathan Law, primarily at Long Pond, Aaron's studio in the Upper Hudson Valley, NY. The songs on "Big Red Machine" were largely contributed by the people at PEOPLE, an artist collective co-founded by Justin, Aaron, and others.
