The title track, "Rattle That Lock," begins with the sound of a French National Railways ( SNCF ) station announcement, which Gilmour recorded on his iPhone at the Aix-en-Provence station in France. The lyrics by Polly Samson were inspired by John Milton's Paradise Lost, Volume 2 (which also appears in Polly Samson's recent book, The Kindness). The single also features Liberty Choir and singers Micah Paris and Louise Marshall.
