¡BLOOD[Import Disc]
¡Lianne La Havas
Description
[Machine Translation] Having found her roots in Jamaica, she weaves soulful songs that connect the past with the present and lead to the future. Rianne La Havas, a pretty British flower who also participated in Prince's "Art Official Age," released her jazzy and groovy second album "BLOOD" and her debut album "Is Your Love Energized," which became one of the top 5 albums in the UK. Three years after her debut album "IS YOUR LOVE ENOUGH? Her latest album, "BLOOD," is inspired by her Jamaican and Greek roots. The album features a wide range of artists, including reggae/dancehall producer and artist Stephen McGregor, with whom she worked in Jamaica, Paul Epworth (Adele, etc.), Ninja Tune's electric trio The Invisibles, and Matt Hales (who has worked with her since her last album). Matt Hales (Aqualung), who has worked with them since their last album, and Mark Batson, who has produced for Alicia Keys, India Ally, and others, also participate in the production. In addition, Howard Lawrence of Disclosure co-wrote "Wonderful" and Jamie Liddell co-wrote "Green And Gold" with Leanne. She performed in Japan for the first time in the fall of 2013, and a song called "Tokyo" is included on the album, which may have been inspired by her experience there. In preparation for the album's release, Rianne La Havas has announced a series of live dates, including her own headlining show in May, Afropunk in Paris, Glastonbury in the UK, and the Latitude festival. Here she is, having found her future by going back to her roots!
