¡Eliane Elias

 Description
[Machine Translation] Eliane Elias, a talented pianist/keyboardist/vocalist with a career spanning over 30 years, released her first new album in two years. Originally from Brazil, she immigrated to the US in 1981. With co-producers Steve Rodby and Marc Johnson, two bass players she has played with in the past, Elias explores her country of origin and performs with a mix of Brazilian musicians, including Marcelo Mariano, Marcus Teixeira, Roberto Menescal, Edu Ribeiro, Rafael Barata, Mauro Refosco, and Marivaldo dos Santos. The album features the vocal group Take 6, guitarist/vocalist/composer Roberto Menescal, vocalists Mark Kibble and Ed Motta, and his daughter Amanda Brecker as guests. The London Symphonic Orchestra plays on seven tracks, six originals by Elias, two standards by Ary Barroso, two by Roberto Menescal, and two by the well-known Antonio Carlos Jobim. All songs were arranged by Elias, connecting three generations of Brazilian composers and expressing a world of music with Brazilian DNA.
