Description
[Machine Translation] In the early summer of the 80th year after the war, 88-year-old Shohei Numata, wearing a white robe and a sedge hat, left for the South Pacific on the luxury cruise ship "Taihei Ivory". His goal was to fulfill his late father's dying wish by disembarking on the island of New Guinea. Shohei travels up the Sepik River to the remote village of Tantogoran, where he meets a descendant of the tribe that once rescued his father, a dying Japanese soldier. Moved by their peaceful lifestyle of primitive hunting, farming, and bartering, Shohei decides to spend the last hours of his life in the village. However, the natives are threatened by the footsteps of a large national corporation's natural gas drilling. Shohei is determined to fight with them to protect the village...
