Documentary PV "Creole Nippon" by Mio Matsuda is now available on Youtube! / Mio Matsuda will appear in NHK Radio 2's New Year's special program "Nippon Toki Kuu Tabi" (Visit Nippon with Sound)! On Friday the 9th, she will appear on NHK Radio 1's "Supin"! She has received rave reviews in music magazines such as "Latina" and "intoxicate". The Nagasaki Shimbun and Kahoku Shimpo also featured her in their articles. This CD book is the result of the concert project "Nihon no Uta" that Mio Matsuda, a singer of the new generation connecting Latin countries and Japan, has been working on in recent years. For the first time, she has recorded 14 songs, including unknown Japanese folk songs and songs of Brazilian Japanese immigrants, which she personally searched for in various places in Japan. These songs are unknown songs that have been sung by local people in Iya (Iya), a mountain village in Tokushima Prefecture, Ioujima Island in Nagasaki Prefecture where hidden Christians lived, Chichijima Island in the Ogasawara Islands in the Pacific Ocean, Soma in Fukushima Prefecture, Gyobashi in Fukuoka Prefecture, and Hawaii and Brazil, where many Japanese immigrants live. Along with the lyrics of the songs, this A5-size book contains 14 essays written by Mio Matsuda herself, which record her journey in search of "memories of songs" that we have forgotten, her encounters with people who have inherited these songs, and the history and background of each song. The illustrations that decorate the text are by Mio Matsuda, a percussionist. Illustrations by percussionist Ryo Watanabe, photographs by Adeyto and Hiroshi Hatakeyama, and book design by Tatsuya Ariyama and Mika Nakajima, art directors of the magazine "ku:nel". Musicians: Mio Matsuda (vo), Masamoto Tsurugi (p), Ryo Watanabe (per), Joji Sawada (b), Sachi Hayasaka (sax) / Produced by Mio Matsuda and Shigeki Miyata
