¡La Cave 1968
¡The Velvet Underground
Description
[Machine Translation] The Velvet Underground played at La Cave nightclub in Cleveland in October 1968, two days after John Cale left the band and Doug Yule joined. The new songs that would appear on their third album, Velvet Underground, released six months later (March 1969) (with different lyrics from the studio version) were "What Goes On," "Pale Blue Eyes," "Jesus" and "Beginning to See the Sea," which were also included on the album. The album contains 12 songs in total, including "Beginning to See the Light", "Story of My Life", "Sister Ray" with its freaky guitar solo, and "Move Right It", a previously unreleased song only included on this album. The sound quality is not great, but the historical value of this live performance outweighs the quality.
