 Description
[Machine Translation] In the 60s and 70s, the emergence of electronic instruments such as synthesizers was expected to create a mechanical, cold sound, and Kraftwerk's techno was the deliberate embodiment of this. In the 1980s, Korg, Mogue, and Roland released a series of affordable and easy-to-use electronic instruments, and a younger generation of post-punk musicians emerged who created lyrical pop sounds (techno-pop/electro-pop) that usually incorporated emotional expression. This is an interesting compilation of works by British artists from the early days of techno. From the techno sounds of John Foxx, Thomas Lear, Chris & Kozy (Throbbing Gristle), and others directly descended from Kraftwerk, to the pop sounds of China Crisis, Simple Minds, Soft Cell, Human League, and others who would later hit the charts, this compilation includes some of the earliest recordings of OMD. The album includes 20 tracks in total, including early OMD recordings and the surprisingly techno Pale Fountains. Commentary by Kenichi Yasuda.
