¡94 East feat.Prince

 Description
[Machine Translation] This compilation features material from Prince's pre-debut band, 94 East. While attending high school at the time, Prince met Andre Simon and Maurice Day and formed Grand Central, a funk band influenced by Sly & the Family Stone and EW&F. He was also in the process of laying the foundation for what would later become known as the Minneapolis sound when his cousin's fiancee, Brooklyn native Pepe Willie, asked him to join his band, 94 East, and it was here that he began his session work on guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals. In the session work with Pepe Willie, he developed his talent as a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, harmony and backing choruses, while learning the ropes of studio work and arranging/producing. Prince is a rare document of the early days of Prince's genius. Although he did not sing lead vocals, the budding Prince sound can be felt in every part of the album. 13 songs in total. Includes a bilingual translation of the detailed English commentary.
