 Description
[Machine Translation] (URC (Underground Record Club) was born in 1969 as a pioneer of Japanese indie labels and ceased its activities at the end of the 70's. URC gathered many cutting-edge talents such as Wataru Takada, Kenji Endo, Ryo Kagawa, Happi Endo, Nobuyasu Okabayashi, and many others. URC, which brought together Wataru Takada, Kenji Endo, Five Red Balloons, Ryo Kagawa, Happiendo, Nobuyasu Okabayashi, and many other cutting-edge talents, is the grandfather of Japanese folk/rock music. The rights to release the CDs were transferred to Sony Music in 2023, and this is the eighth in a series of CD reissues of URC's masterpieces that began in June. HIRO" is the third solo album (1972) released for the first time from URC by Hiro Yanagida, a keyboard player who supported the dawn of Japanese rock with his activities for April Fools (Tadashi Kosaka, Haruomi Hosono, Takashi Matsumoto, etc.) and Food Brain (Hiroshi Tsunoda, Nobuteru Chen, etc.). The album features a number of talented musicians from the jazz and rock worlds, including Akira Ishikawa (ds), Kiyoshi Sugimoto (g), Masayoshi Takanaka (g), and Masaoki Terakawa (b), and all seven of his vocal tunes were written by Takashi Matsumoto. The latest remastering is scheduled for 2024.
