Description
[Machine Translation] [Film Noir: Crime Films of the Century, Vol. 3] The aesthetics of men living amidst betrayal and desire. In the dark underworld, solitary wolves are steeped in decadence... Three masterpieces of hard-boiled films are released! Along with "The Black Jaguar" and "Coffy," Larry Cohen's masterpiece of 70's black-ploitation films! Samuel Z. Arkoff of AIP, who originally wrote the screenplay with Sammy Davis JR in mind, decided to make the film, which eventually starred Fred Williamson, a football player who played in the NFL. The story is a black version of "The Godfather" based on the crime action masterpiece "Rico the Crime King"! The film was shot in 18 days for a mere $450,000, and was a much bigger hit than expected.
