 Description
[Machine Translation] Masters Brass Nagoya/ Commissioned work arranged by Eishi Suzuki, Richard Strauss "Prelude to the Celebration". Masters Brass Nagoya was born with the concept of "enjoying music" and pursuing "tradition and innovation"! This CD is a live recording of the first subscription concert held on April 10, 2016 at the Concert Hall of the Aichi Prefectural Arts Center. Richard Strauss's "Prelude to the Celebration," which was commissioned to composer Eishi Suzuki and premiered on that day, is a magnificent performance of organ and brass band music, with the banda of the brass band of Aichi Institute of Technology Meiden High School adding flowers and Tatsuya Suzuki's long, sustained, majestic bars creating an expanse of outer space. The second piece on the program, a trumpet concerto (euphonium version) by Shigeaki Saegusa, features the superb technique of up-and-coming euphonium player Kyohei Ando and the soft, enveloping tone of the euphonium, which beautifully sings the Japanese lyricism that abounds in this piece.
