¡Prokofiev: Symphony No.5[Limited Release]
¡Klaus Tennstedt (conductor), French National Orchestra

 Description
[Machine Translation] Tennstedt's Prokofiev in Paris on fire! Tennstedt, who grew up in the former East Germany, excelled in Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony, and his spectacular performance with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich on December 1-2, 1977, is still recorded, but two months earlier he performed the same work with the Orchestre National de France. Two months before that, he performed the same piece with the Orchestre National de France, which was reportedly even better than the Munich performance. The work is said to have been written to celebrate the victory in World War II, and while many of the performances are very bright, Tennstedt's blackened, swirling emotions and violent intensity seem to reveal the horror that Prokofiev hid behind his music. This LP is a limited pressing of 500 copies worldwide in 180g weight.
