Description
[Machine Translation] Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson, two Academy Award-winning actors, present a gem of a story dedicated to adults that will open the door to happiness. --Harvey (Dustin Hoffman), a veteran composer of commercial songs in New York City, is told by his boss that he must use a younger person to present his new work. Harvey is shocked, but declares that he will definitely attend the presentation on Monday, and leaves for London to attend the wedding of his estranged daughter, Susan. When Harvey lands at Heathrow Airport, he is annoyed by Kate ( Emma Thompson ), a statistician who is conducting a survey at the airport, as if she is trying to vent her anger about her job. After leaving the airport, he dreams of meeting Susan again, but Harvey is the only one staying at the hotel where he thought his old family was together. At a dinner party on the eve of the wedding, Harvey is moved to a corner while he is swamped with work calls. He is also alienated from Brian ( James Brolin ), the man from his ex-wife's second marriage, who delivers a magnificent speech. When he tells Susan that he cannot attend the reception due to work, she declares that she will walk down the aisle with Brian. The next day, Harvey watches Susan's wedding from a distance and rushes to the airport, but he misses his flight to New York due to traffic and is fired by his boss.
