¡What Comes Next
¡Peter Bernstein

 Description
[Machine Translation] Peter Bernstein, a successful guitarist in New York City, has released a remarkable album in which he questions himself about his uncertain future in the midst of a pandemic in New York City. The title of the album is also "What Comes Next" ! The piano is played by Sullivan Fortner, who has played on Grammy-winning vocalist Cecil McLoughlin Salvant's albums and as a pianist for Roy Hargrove. The bassist is Peter Washington, a veteran of many battles, and drummer Joe Farnsworth, who is on a roll. This album is also dedicated to jazz legends Jimmy Cobb (ds) and Harold Mayburn (p), who played with Peter many times before his death and passed away last year and this year, respectively. The album contains 9 songs in total. The album consists of six Bernstein originals, the standard "We'll Be Together Again," and three Jazzman originals by Gillespie and Sonny Rollins. All of Bernstein's originals, including "Empty Streets," a ballad about looking out on an empty city street, are highly accomplished. Recorded at Sear Sound Studio, New York, June 25, 2020. The Japanese edition includes a complete English translation of the commentary by Steve Futterman.
