Description
Director Yugo Sakamoto captures the forbidden and everyday life of a hitman in this documentary. In 2018, director Sakamoto was working on a scenario for his new film, "Baby Walkure," about a pair of female assassins. Sakamoto learns of a hitman business network called the "Kansai Koroshiya Kyokai" and asks for an interview with the association to help him create his scenario. The association introduced him to Masayuki Kunioka, a freelance contracted assassin who is known as the strongest in Kyoto. Sakamoto, who was assigned to closely interview Kunioka, found that the life of a hitman is no different from that of an ordinary person: laughing, weeping, worrying, falling in love, drinking with friends, and killing with a casual attitude. One day, due to a miscommunication with the client, Kunioka kills the wrong person and becomes the target of both the hitman sent by the client who is upset and those who want to avenge the killed person. This is a shocking documentary that tells us nakedly the reality of the hitman business and the daily life of a hitman, which we usually do not know.
