Description
A highly acclaimed film from Germany's Veit Helmer. This extraordinary movie is reminiscent of films by Jeunet & Caro (i.e., Delicatessen, City of Lost Children) in the sense that it's poetic, quirky and funny all at the same time. The quasi-silent (absence of comprehensible language, or the necessity for language itself for that matter), visual story telling approach is also comparable to Jacques Tati's (Mon Oncle, Playtime) films. It's beautifully photographed, and it's in black and white with artful tint in sepia tone given for interior shots. Visual extra(s) included.
