Description
[Machine Translation] A man and a woman, both of whom have been thrown out of the city... and two youths in search of a better tomorrow, burn up. A modern lyric poem by Koichi Saito. First place in the 47th Kinema Junpo Best Ten. --A man and a woman get off at a bus stop in a deserted fishing village in Tsugaru. Isako, who has been working in a bar in Tokyo, has returned to her native village with Tetsuo, who is being chased after causing trouble. Tetsuo is bored in the empty countryside and makes the acquaintance of a blind girl named Yuki. At first he intends to tease her, but as Yuki comes to adore him, Tetsuo gradually begins to love her as well. However, the peaceful days do not last long... Koichi Saito's masterpiece emotionally depicts the emotional turmoil between a man and a woman who have fled from the city against the backdrop of the Japan Sea in a wild winter. The local motifs used throughout the film add a touch of pathos to the work.
